Vision & Mission

The Board has adopted procedures that allocate responsibility between the Board and the Senior Management Team. The MD has discussions with each member of the Board regarding these procedures, and there is an annual evaluation of the Board's own work. The other members of the Board evaluate the performance of the MD and broader plan each year.

From time to time, the Board delegates authority to an “ad hoc” work group so that it may resolve a specific matter on its own without having to go before the full Board for approval.

The Board of Directors has adopted a corporate policy manual, which is Residential Estates' central reference for all matters relating to its corporate policies on governance and other matters. Regional policies that are more stringent or detailed than those set out in the corporate policy manual are adopted as necessary.

The Company’s Code of Ethics is a part of the corporate policy manual. All senior managers and members of the Board of Directors, must sign a statement acknowledging that they have read, understood and will comply with the Code of Ethics.

Riding For The Disabled

The RDA provides therapy, achievement and enjoyment to people with disabilities all over the UK. With over 500 volunteer groups who organise activities such as riding, carriage driving, vaulting, show-jumping and Hippotherapy, they reach about 28,000 people each year.

For over 40 years, RDA has taken great pride in their exceptional instructors and team of over 18,000 volunteers who offer activities for all ages and wherever possible, to people with any disability in any area, even cities!

The RDA relies on voluntary help, donations and legacies in order to deliver their services and as our chosen charity, we are delighted to support such a worthwhile cause and hope we can help make a difference alongside the volunteers to people across the UK.

Children In Need

Children in Need is the BBC’s UK corporate charity. They provide grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged. They are local to people in all corners of the UK and also support small and large organisations which empower children and extend their life choices.

Since their first appeal in 1980, Children in Need has raised over £800 million, all of which has gone to help disadvantaged children and young people around the UK.
